Keiser University has met the standards of accreditation by the following recognized accreditation commissions:

Institutional Accreditation

Keiser University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award certificates and degrees at the associate, baccalaureate, masters, specialist, and doctoral levels. Programmatic

The following business programs at Keiser University – Ft. Lauderdale Campus and its off-campus instructional sites are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs: Associate of Arts in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Masters of Business Administration, and Doctor of Business Administration.


The following accounting programs at Keiser University – Ft. Lauderdale Campus and its off-campus instructional sites hold separate accounting accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs:  Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, and Master of Accountancy.


Keiser University Center for Culinary Arts, Sarasota, Tallahassee and Melbourne campuses, are accredited by the American Culinary Federation Inc., 180 Center Place Way, St. Augustine, Florida 32095, (940) 824-4468, www.acfchefs.org.

The Keiser University Nurse Anesthesia Programs (master and doctoral levels) are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), 222 S. The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program at Keiser University was established in 2015. The graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the national certification examination for occupational therapists, administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT; nbcot.org). After successful completion of the national certification examination, the individual will be an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). Keiser University’ Orlando campus is seeking programmatic accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science program by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), 5600 N. River Road, Suite 720, Rosemont, Illinois 60018. The program is in the process of collecting and compiling data to submit for accreditation. The accreditation process may take up to two years, however completion of the accreditation site survey does not assure that the Medical Laboratory Science program will be granted accreditation status.  If the program attains “Serious Applicant Status” prior to graduation, graduates will be eligible to sit for the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Medical Laboratory Scientist examination immediately upon completion of the program.


The Keiser University Occupational Therapy Bridged Program has applied for accreditation and has been granted “Candidacy Status” by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) at acote.aota.org of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) at aota.org.  ACOTE is located at 4720 Montgomery Lane, P.O. Keiser University’s Occupational Therapy Assistant program, Ft. At its September 2016 meeting, the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) placed the Keiser University Physician Assistant program sponsored by Keiser University on Accreditation-Probation status until its next validation review in September 2018.

Probation is a temporary status of accreditation conferred when a program does not meet the Standards and when the capability of the program to provide an acceptable educational experience for its students is threatened.

Once placed on probation, programs that still fail to comply with accreditation requirements in a timely manner, as specified by the ARC-PA, may be scheduled for a focused site visit and/or risk having their accreditation withdrawn.
